The specific objectives are to:
• Support newcomers in their understanding of the Alberta job market.
• Develop a local professional and social network.
• Improve self-confidence and intercultural skills.
• Provide a model of Francophone success in Alberta.

  • French-speaking professionals who have been living in Alberta or Canada for several years.
  • Active in various sectors (health, engineering, business, education, construction, etc.).
  • Eager to share their experience and help newcomers integrate.
  • New French-speaking immigrants (less than 5 years in Canada).
  • Seeking professional and social integration.
  • Motivated to commit to a 3- to 6-month mentoring relationship.
  1. Registration and matching (1 month)
    ◦ Online questionnaire to identify needs and objectives.
    ◦ Matching based on professional, cultural, and personal affinities.
  2. Initial training (1 session)
    ◦ Kick-off workshop: introduction to mentoring, expectations, role of the mentor and mentee.
  3. Mentoring (3 to 6 months)
    ◦ Regular meetings (1 to 2 times per month, in person or online).
    ◦ Suggested activities: resume review, mock interviews, networking, professional visits, etc.
  4. Follow-up and evaluation
    ◦ Mid-term meeting to assess progress.
    ◦ Final satisfaction report and suggestions for improvement.
